TOPIC 1 RENEWABLE AND NON-RENEWABLE ENERGY SOURCES
 RENEWABLE ENERGY: ENERGÍAS RENOVABLES
NON-RENEWABLE ENERGY: ENERGÍAS NO RENOVABLES

ENERGY can be obtained from RENEWABLE and NON-RENEWABLE sources.
Most of our electricity comes from power stations that use energy sources like COAL, OIL, and GAS to make electricity. These are non-renewable energy sources. This means that we can't make more of them and they'll eventually run out .
We can also get energy from the SUN, WIND and WATER. These are renewable energy sources. This means that we can use them again and again and they'll never run out run out: agotarse

Using non-renewable energy sources causes POLLUTION and can harm the environment.
QUESTIONS to think and answer in class in small groups: WRITE your ideas on a piece of paper and TELL your friends.

WHAT ENERGY SOURCES DO YOU USE AT HOME?
HOW DO YOU USE THESE FORMS OF ENERGY?
CAN YOU REMEMBER HOW TO SAVE ENERGY?
CAN YOU THINK OF ANY DISADVANTAGES OF RENEWABLE ENERGY SOURCES?
